Silverado Contractors was contracted for the demolition and site preparation of the Paragon project in Sunnyvale—a new state-of-the-art chip manufacturing research facility. The original scope included demolition of a 340,000-square-foot, five-story post-tensioned parking garage, crushing of 30,000 tons of concrete, tree removal, hardscape demolition across nearly 700,000 square feet, removal and salvage of 3,200 solar panels, and utility disconnection.

Additional work added by change order included hazardous material abatement and demolition of three adjacent buildings, removal of 70 underground concrete piers and piles, installation of temporary retaining walls, and various utility tasks. Silverado was also contracted to provide craneway and drive path maintenance for one year to support ongoing construction operations onsite.
