Silverado Contractors was contracted to remove two concrete pedestrian bridges connecting an active parking structure to a medical office building (MOB) scheduled for demolition. Due to their location between a structure to be demolished and one to remain, the bridges required careful sequencing and precision crane work prior to the start of building demolition.
Each bridge weighed approximately 30 tons and presented unique logistical challenges. The lower bridge was picked and lowered directly in front of the crane, while the upper bridge required a complex lift path—flying over the parking structure and landing behind the crane’s position. Silverado’s team executed both lifts safely and efficiently, ensuring the protection of the adjacent active facility and enabling the seamless continuation of the MOB demolition.
