Silverado Contractors was contracted to perform the dismantlement, demolition, and removal of Units 3, 4, 5, and 6 at the LADWP Haynes Generating Station. These decommissioned units consisted of natural gas-fired boilers and steam turbine generators originally constructed in the mid-1960s, with a combined net generating capacity of 1,120 megawatts.

The steam turbine generators and associated equipment were located on and within a 60,000-square-foot turbine deck at a 40-foot elevation. The project required precise planning, structural dismantlement, and rigorous safety protocols to complete the removal of aging infrastructure and prepare the site for future modernization efforts.
