Silverado Contractors was subcontracted to perform interior abatement, soft demolition, removal of the exterior precast concrete panel system, and selective structural demolition for the Resources Building in downtown Sacramento. This work was in support of major seismic, MEP, and stair system upgrades for the iconic structure.

The 17-story steel-framed building, including penthouses, overlooks the California State Capitol and was the fourth largest building west of Chicago when it was completed in 1964. Silverado’s work required careful planning and execution to preserve the integrity of the structure while preparing it for modernization, all within a highly visible and historically significant location.
