The City of Hayward contracted Silverado Contractors to perform the abatement and demolition of the Hayward City Center, an 11-story steel-reinforced concrete structure. The scope included complete removal of the building and its associated foundations, including the top five feet of concrete caissons.

Silverado demolished all interior and exterior building components, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as existing elevators, hoistways, steel staircases, adjacent paved surfaces, and landscaping. Due to the site's close proximity to public areas and active traffic along Civic Center Drive, Silverado implemented strict safety measures and logistical planning to ensure minimal disruption to the surrounding community.
