Silverado Contractors completed hazardous soil remediation, demolition, site work, mass excavation, rough grading, and backfill for the project. Prior to demolition, asbestos abatement was performed on the existing 17,350-SF, two-story office building. Additional scope included demolition of an elevator/hoist, existing sidewalks, and approximately 23,933 SF of asphalt-paved parking area, along with associated hardscape and landscape elements such as rails, railroad ties, a parking attendant shed, trees, bollards, signage, fencing, a power station, and street lights/poles.

The project included mass excavation of approximately 20,000 cubic yards of material. Hazardous soils were carefully remediated, handled, and disposed of in full compliance with regulatory requirements. The excavation was supported with sheet piling and shoring, including all required tiebacks and bracing. Due to the close proximity of adjacent structures, demolition activities were executed with exceptional care to ensure no damage occurred. Because the building was constructed of concrete block, property line walls were selectively demolished using an excavator equipped with a thumb and bucket. Protective measures were installed along adjacent walls to maintain safe operations throughout the work.
